Phantom power & mics
Will a Rode NTG1, which relies on phantom power, work when mounted on a GL2 with an MA300 XLR adapter?

Hi there
Just get the NTG 2 which is the same mic but takes a 1.5v battery for the power... good mic for the money. I use it as my boom mic...it's quite hot and works well like this. I also have an AT 897 which sits on my Z1 as an ambient mic. The pair give me good location audio. regards Gareth |

Thanks Gareth, think I'll go with the NTG2.

Hi Ed
You might want to consider these Rode accessories to the NTG 2 : RØDE Microphones You can get both the Wind jammer and the shock mount for around £80. I use both as the foam one provided is really pretty useless... Regards Gareth |
