EV635 output for plugin?
I am planning to do a few interviews w a handheld mike w/ a plugin xmitter .. if I use something like the EV635 which is dynamic, will its output be enough for a plugin xmitter (like the AT1800)?
I see EV has a version which is a little more output (neodymium magnet) but I'm not sure if it's needed (or worse or better, etc.). Any suggestions? I don't have to go with the EV, so maybe there's a better handheld in the same price range but the EV looked pretty good as an all purpose handheld that could hold up to a lot of rough use. TIA. |
The ambiguous on screen EV RE50 has a little more output and less handling noise than the EV635a, supposedly both use the same capsule.
I don't know about the AT but both my Sennheiser G2 and Lectro buttplugs have enough gain for the EV-635a. |

I think the RE50 also comes with the neodymium version. RE50 N/D - more output.
