Sennheiser EK100 G2 Receiver
Hello all,

I've searched, found and got a Sennheiser EK100 G2 Receiver from classifieds, the thing is, the seller advertised the kit and I only got the ek100 gs, I am still happy as I got it for $70, I think that is a good deal. As I know little about wireless audio, I was wondering if there is an affordable unit that would work with this unit or do I need to search for Sennheiser again? The range designated to this unit is 626 -662 MHz. Thank you.

That's Range "B".

You *can* get the bits on their own, but it's more expensive than buying a kit.

As you got such a good price on the receiver it maybe OK, though.

How much do you want to spend?

How will the mic be used?

Mainly for interviews, I would like to clip it on to the interviewee have the person doing the interview with another but a cable mic in his/her hand... I would like something good, not even sure what the price range is? thx

Would this be a good choice: Sennheiser ME 4

only if you want a cardioid, the ME2 is more common, as it's an omni - which of course means that positioning and aiming towards the mouth don't matter too much. The ME4 is a fine mic, but I always find positioning cardioids a bit tricky - especially as often people turn their heads away while speaking and then they go off mic, which sounds horrible.

The Sennheiser ME 4 would be a good choice for use with a PA.. better rejection to feedback than an omni.

I've seen the Lectro M-150 lavs on E-bay many times for around $40-50usd, you would have to change the connector though. The 150 ain't great by any means but IMO is a little better than the ME-2 that normally comes with the G2 bodypack transmitter.

The AT-899 is another consideration, sounds decent, and under $200 with the 1/8" plug.
