Gefell Mics-- any experience?

I am considering getting a Gefell M200 or M300 for use with my Sony PD170. The purpose is general use, high quality (to the extent possible) recording of voice and music. This mic will be mounted on camera using a lightwave minimount. (I know, on-camera mics are the poorest choice for good sound, but I have a reasonable selection of high quality mics for off camera use and need something to replace the mic that came with the camera). Most of the recording will be done indoors in a relatively quiet environment (not weddings, etc.) Solo or small group dialogue, and occasional music (mostly small group jazz). This is for situations that do not permit setting up off-camera mics. I was considering a Rode NT3, but it is big and very heavy. The Gefell seems like a reasonable alternative. Has anyone tried the M200?
Thanks.

There's a big difference in price between the rode NT3 and the Gefell. I had demo'd an M300 and really liked it's smooth sound and nice bottom end (quiet too) but the mics i was looking at got snapped up before i could make up my mind.

The distributor had either lost or given up the line and was flogging the gefell out a a really nice price. The prices have since increased and I'm having trouble finding a canadian dealer.

The Microtech Gefell factory is one of the two original Neumann facilities. The gefell factory was left behing the "Iron Curtain", the factory that sennheiser bought was in the allied sector of Berlin. Both can legally use the name Neumann.

It's definetly quality gear

The M200 and M300 are cardoid.

Thanks Bryan for the response. I am interested in the Gefells because of the Neumann connection. Of the off-camera mics I use, my favorites are Neumanns. The little I've found on the net on Gefell mics has been very positive, but they are not widely stocked and its hard to find specific info. Gefell recommended the M210, but other than size and interchangeable capsules I can't tell the difference from the 300. I will try to get more info from a Gefell dealer.
