location mixer for run and gun

I know this has been covered but can't seem to find the post or article. Anyway, what small mixer do you recommend for location work for those on a budget? Price range is still being negotiated but definitely need to stay under $1000. Don't need a lot of channels.

Precise audio makes a compact unit that can be clipped to your belt or an on camera bracket. http://www.preciseaudio.com/brochure.html

Marenius makes a mono, 3 input with 48 volt phantom for $400. The MM3100 has an 18 volt and a 48 volt phantom. go for the extra few bucks. Markertek.com carries them.

Jay Rose over at dv.com has done a few reviews on some inexpensive Rolls mixers.

If you want to spend the money , the 302 is nice. I have one.

The rolls are nice, if not noisy, the Samson MT4 and 6 are clean and battery powered, but go over shoulder, not on belt, the Tapco micro is quite good, JLCooper has a great shoulder unit, Shure has some very nice high end units, and Mackie has just released a new one similar to the Tapco. (they build the Tapco products too)
