I've seen a few a/b comparisons of various mics including the E6, and it always seems lacking in bass. This makes sense, since it's intended to be so close to the mouth. If it had much bass response, it would easily overload on plosives.

It's not that the E6 sounds bad, it just doesn't have as full a sound as I prefer.

I'll be happy with either the Sony ECM44B or AudioTechnica AT803, and I'll probably buy whatever I can get for a good deal.
