Wireless Suggestions

I'm looking for a wireless solution for my PD170. I'm looking primarily for a wireless lavalier system, but also I'd like to be able to use the same system to connect to a mixer via XLR or 1/4" connector. I was looking at the Sony system but not sure if the transmitter will allow some sort of "line in" feed from a mixer AND the lavlier.

I'm not trying to use both the lavalier and mixer input at the same time but I'd like to use the same transmitter for both purposes. Is there anything out there that will work in this situation that is reasonably priced?

The Sennheiser's work very well for this task. The body-pack transmitter has both a microphone and a line-level input ( they have a stereo input socket where one channel is line, the other microphone level).

Best case, get the kit that has both a body-pack transmitter for use with the lav and a plug-on transmitter for use with a mixer. You still cannot use both simultaneously but you can put the transmitters on 2 different channels and then switch the receiver between channels.

Works well as long as you don't have to do the swithch instantaneously.

Yep, my vote is on the Sennheiser Evolution 100 series. It can generally be had for around $450 or less.

Interesting question:

Has anyone tried to input both a microphone and a line level signal at the same time? It must mix the inputs since there is no switch.

Hmmm.
