Getting rid of train sounds

Hey everyone,
I was doing some filming tonight with a friend for a new program we are doing, and unfortunately we don't have enough money to really make our location soundproof. It is really pretty quiet, except for right at the end, the loudest train I've ever heard came by. I just downloaded a trial of Sound Forge, and wondered if there might be some way to get rid of or at least minimize the sound of the train whistle? Thanks :)

Play the music louder!

We've had similar situations, and no, we couldn't eliminate the sound. Can you do any ADR?

Probably not in this case, unfortunately.

Nope, there is no way to affordably sound "proof" a room.
http://www.asiapacific.com.my/istiq/soundproof.html has a basic but reasonable explanation, if you'd like to read it.
No way could you cut out a varying frequency, constant source sound and not have it affect the original/desirable audio.

Sorry!..

Actually, we did end up being able to do ADR for this, worked great! :)
