This one is one foot long--other lengths are avaiable.

I have the Hosa cable, and consider it to be very cheaply built. The XLR connector is very flimsy. Also, note that it will route your audio to one channel, leaving the other blank, causing interfenence. It also does not block plug in power, so it won't work on the mic input jack on some camcorders and recorders. I'm not really sure what the intended use of this thing is. Much better is the Shure A96F which has a transformer and a DC voltage blocker -- $36.50 at B&H.

I made two of these cables, wired exactly like the Hosa, and they work perfectly well with my Sennheiser K3U/ME80 mic and my Panasonic GS400 camcorder.

Incorrect, Marco. You must have the wrong one, which is a common error. I am always careful about recommending the right one.

Fred,
Yup. You're right I just checked it. I did indeed order the stereo version. Doh!

(I did too, a while back....want another one so you'll have a pair?) 8>]

I just ordered two 15foot HOSA's...

Are they really cheaply made?

I ordered before I read the complaints

I still say the connectors are cheesy, but they do work. I wouldn't be too worried about it. What are you connecting to anyway? Buying a pair seem like an odd purchase.

I have an HDR-FX1 cam.... with some mics...

I just like having 2 of everything
