What is “leakproof” AA/UM3 1.5V battery
 

I just bought a AT 899 lav mic and I am not sure what kind of AA Battery type is “leakproof” AA/UM3 1.5V battery.....Any info about? Can I use any alkaline AA or this AA/UM3 is a special type?

By the way; this is the first time I will use a lavalier (I need to do some interviews for a documentary) any tips about? ie: what is the best place to attache this? What distance from the mouth, etc.....

Douglas: can you give me some instructions or ideas about?....any lecture?...Can you send me some material for to read?
