Naw, that's a small distance to run balanced XLR. Just use good quality low-loss cable and you'll be fine. IF you can get to a Guitar Center store they will have plenty of cables to choose from.

Phantom power / balanced lines have long run capabilities. Ask the question again if you get past 100 feet, since I don't know what the absolute limit is. But 50 ft no problem at all.
