used lav suggestions

Assuming B&H accepts my returns--I'm past their 15 day return/exchange policy...--I'm gonna see if I can find some kind of UHF set following my failed attempt with the AT Pro-88Ws which have been an ongoing nightmare.

What are some lav systems that are likely to be found on the used market that represent a good value?

I think you will find 2 kinds of units out there. One would be about the same quality you're returning and the other would be something up in the 700 or 800 range which of course isn't legal to use here in the US anymore.
You might get lucky and find a Senn G2 unit or even an older Lectro unit but of course there is a price to be paid for them.
I think you might just be as well off getting something like a AT1800 new. Receiver, bodypak transmitter and stock mic about $500 or the new Senn G3 with receiver, bodypak, plugin transmitter and stock mic about $800.
Something to think about.

As an alternative to the Senny G3 (which I personally can't stand - your mileage may vary), check out the NEW Sony UWP offering with the metal case.

Shaun,
I keep forgetting about the Sony stuff. While I don't use it I've heard nothing but good news about it.

What on EARTH does this mean?

Megahertz-the FCC has made those frequencys illeagle for us to use in the USA so assuming you're in the USA, you don't want anything in those freqs.
