recording stereo live concert ATW-1821

Dear friends,

among others I am making short clips from live music concerts. My current solution is to connect M-Audio recorder to their mixer and match music with my cuts later. To save some time I have been playing with the idea of buying*Audio-Technica's ATW-1821. Due to its two channel abilities to record left and right together straight to my Panasonic AG-HMC151. Will it work that way? I need it to be stereo so I guess the Sennheiser EW112 is not enough.

Recording the board mix to a separate recorder is the better option. Record stationary hardwired mics to the camera audio tracks. You can mix the board feed + audience mics in post for presence AND a live 'vibe'.
If a wireless link craps-out, RF issues, user error, accidental disconnect, ect., ect., you have no usable audio at all.
