Wireless Lavalier Options
 

Hey guys-
I am looking to buy a wireless lavalier system pretty soon and I need some help. What is recomended? I know that UHF is better than VHF, so I'll deffinately go with UHF. I was looking at the Samsom Micro 32 Series System seen here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation

I was also looking at some Audio Technica ones too. So has anyone used and liked the Samson one? Any suggestions??

I just purshased a Micro 32 from B&H. I received it last friday. (but mine is with the Audio Technica MT350 mic)

So far, from the little time I had to experiment with it, I am really impressed. The sound is great, the two units are really lightweight. The built quality is Ok, plastic, but feel solid.

I have read good comments from other users here. I think that it's a good buy for the money.

Thanks Jean! Can you tell me exactly how the reciever attaches to the camera? Also: does the system (with the mic as you specified) come with all the neccessary cables for opperation? And one last question: Is it an XLR connector for the reciever? I'm going to get a Beachtek DXA-6A.....so I'm kinda asking if it will work with this.

The receiver come with a stripe of velcro. Simple tech but effective :) you can then attach it anywhere to your camera. I have attached it on the micro holder plate that come with the Ma-100 adapter (I am using an XL1).

It come with all you need except the batteries.
The caraying case is really nice and sturdy.

Yes, the receiver come with a mini xlr (receiver side) to regular xlr cable for balanced output. You can also use the unbalanced output (mini 1/8) if you want. You will need to purchase a mini 1/8 cable to do this. But if you are using a Beachtek adapter, all you need is in the box.
