And what did Santa bring you??

Just wanted to brag! 16 year old daughter put the Sony MDR 7506 cans under the tree for me.
She's my sweetheart!
Merry Christmas to all.

D.J. Ammons December 25th, 2010 10:28 AM

Congrats Tracy! Santa brought me a new Sony UWP V1 wireless mic set and a new 6 core 12 gig computer for editing in Vegas (upgrading from a dual core and 4 gigs).I am very happy but very much in debt!

Don Bloom December 25th, 2010 10:56 AM

I got Sees Suckers. Hmmmm. My older son gave his wife a really nice piece of jewelry and HE got (bought didn't take it home yet) his beautiful new Harley Ultraglide. Man where's the parity?

Robert Turchick December 25th, 2010 11:54 AM

A Kessler 12' Ultra complete crane came to the door yesterday!

Chad Johnson December 25th, 2010 01:20 PM

Sony PCM D-50! Been wanting one for years. My girlfriend and my mom kicked in $100.00 each to go with the 240.00 I had set aside. It was one of those really cool things that I didn't need per se, but it would make some things easier. Sounds pretty good!

Denis Danatzko December 25th, 2010 01:55 PM

I must've been a good boy...

- a VZ-ROCK PZFI for my HVX
- 2 stacks of blank DVDs
- a Print-On-A-Dime kit for my Epson R300
- extra handle for myManfrotto 503 head
- a Camrade raincoat for my HVX
- a Pearstone clapper

All the best to everyone!

Don Bloom December 25th, 2010 01:56 PM

:-(
How come everyone else got all the cool stuff and all I got was chocolate suckers?

Cranes, cans, decks, cameras, motorcycles, monitors, computers...I guess I must have been a bad boy last year. At least I didn't get coal.

Dan Brockett December 25th, 2010 01:57 PM

So other than Chad and Tracy, Christmas is just an excuse for video geeks to go into debt, is that what I am reading? ;-)

Dan

Don Bloom December 25th, 2010 01:59 PM

Do we need an excuse for that? :-O

Mike Beckett December 25th, 2010 04:45 PM

You lucky sods, I just got socks and chocolate!

New Vinten tripod is in the post though. Santa must've got delayed by all the snow round here!

Actually no, been saving for a while for the crane. No debt here!
But the expense will help come tax time!

John Kilderry December 25th, 2010 07:38 PM

In a total surprise, I got a Tekkeon M3750 battery which will pretty much run or charge anything. Toys not included.

Bingo! We have winner!!!

Andrew Smith December 27th, 2010 02:00 AM

Socks and chocolate? Pfft! Luxury!!

I got underwear.

... and a very nice bottle of De Kuyper Butterscotch Schnapps (the really good stuff). Kinda makes up for the lack of video gear.

(sigh)

Andrew

Antonio Ricca December 27th, 2010 03:07 AM

I received a shiny new 7" LCD full HD 450nits for my glidecam rig, including 12v 7ah Li-ion battery, sunhood, manfrotto ballhead

Christian Brown December 27th, 2010 09:41 AM

A flashlight... but it has a magnet on it so it sticks to your car!

Trail mix... and not the kind with the gross dried pineapple bits.

Two delicious meals!

Mark Watson December 27th, 2010 12:27 PM

Canon 6X HD lens for the XL-H1A and a SmallHD DP6 HD monitor. Was hoping for a 36 inch plotter. Maybe next year...

David W. Jones December 27th, 2010 12:31 PM

I get the same old thing every year, heroin and hookers.

Andrew Smith December 27th, 2010 01:31 PM

Reminds me of an old joke:

Q: What do you buy for the man who has everything?

A: Antibiotics

Ba-dum ... ting! ;-)

(thanks, I'll be here all year)

Andrew

Michael Liebergot December 27th, 2010 02:53 PM

Santa bought us a bigger debt.
Me and the wife didn't buy gifts for us this year, only our little girl.
As our XMAS gift to each other this year was a new a house. =)

Rick Reineke December 27th, 2010 06:57 PM

I gave everybody the same thing this year.
Nothin.

Tom Wilkinson December 27th, 2010 07:35 PM

AG-HMC150, and time off

An AG-HMC150, my first real video camera. Then I slipped on the ice, fell and broke my right arm. It will be 6-8 weeks before I can hold it again. Well that will give me time to research what microphones, tripod, head, & lights to buy. I have not been involved in video for over 30 years (switched to IT) so this is all new and exciting.

Tom

Chad Johnson December 27th, 2010 07:57 PM

That's terrible Tom! Well now you can read the manual and practice adjusting things. You should look into the "Superstar" mic I reviewed in the next thread over. It could be the all in one solution everybody's looking for.

Tom, if it is true that misery loves company then you will be pleased to know that my new super duper six core editing computer will probably be delivered right about the time I get home from surgery and I won't be able to hook it up for days. It is going to be painful looking at that box!

I don't get it.

Andrew Smith December 28th, 2010 12:47 AM

Antibiotics cure infections, some of which you can pick up from "paid company".

Andrew

Andrew Smith December 28th, 2010 10:20 AM

A nice Christmas gift for gratis ...

Noticed in an email from Boris FX that if you go to their Facebook page and "like" them before Dec 31, they will update your Facebook page with a link to a free copy of the Boris Continuum Glitters Unit on January 3rd.

Facebook page for Boris is at Boris FX | Facebook

Hey ... it's a freebie! :-)

(you can thank me later)

Andrew

Steven Davis December 28th, 2010 10:37 AM

Hmm, did it work for you?

Andrew Smith December 28th, 2010 10:41 AM

I know that Australia is ahead of the USA in actual date/time, but we're not that far ahead. :-)

I still have to wait until the 3rd of January 2011 to receive the link to the downloadable freebie.

Andrew

Andrew Smith January 4th, 2011 12:15 AM

There was indeed a "status update" with the link. Got my downloaded filter install package and feeling good.

Think positive Tom, at least it was just your arm you broke and not your new camera :)
