Film Premieres - Sound recording

Hi there. I'm based in the UK and recently our company have been invited to film interviews with the stars at film premieres. Obviously, at these events there's the screaming crowd noise and a mass of other loud sounds which often interfere with the audio quality of our interviews.

Therefore, I'd really be grateful for suggestions of a good quality microphone setup that eliminates the crowd hysteria and concentrates on those people interviewed in front of us. Cost is also a concern, although we do have deep pockets.

We're currently filming with an Canon XM2 and using a reporter with a Sennheiser M66 microphone and a cameraman.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Directional mic close to speakers, maybe handheld, maybe on a boom. Sound guy with mix controls and isolating headphones.

If that does not work, get a few cricket sticks and use them to quiet the crowd. :)
