Premiere has some mixing capabilities. I'd say stick with what you have.

I thought I was doing a great job mixing things, and then I bought an M-Audio Firewire 410 sound card and some BX8a speakers. The difference was staggering and humbling. If at all possible, get yourself a decent sound card (probably NOT the one that came with your system). Even more important is to get some good monitor speakers. I like the BX8a pretty well, fwiw.
