Philip, I think Garrett nailed that answer. The CS-3e won't be fragile like crepe paper, but why push it?

Maybe the more likely problem here in Vermont is going from outdoors to indoors when it's cold out, and getting condensation. I guess if it's in an equipment case, a heat pack could be added to keep it warm.

You can also use the baggie method. Put the cold mic in the baggie until it warms up.
