Backround Music suggestions
Hello, everyone!
I was curious if anyone can suggest their favorite online royalty-free music source which you used for your video/film. I am specifically looking for light and airy background music to be used in my upcoming Artist Spotlight video series. Something similar to the video on this page.. http://store.hermanmiller.com/store/...53503___large_ Also, some of you may use Sonicfire, which can be flexible for stretching the song and end it nicely, but when I used version 5 I found the learning curve to be more of a burden to the project than a benefit.. I don't have a budget but max I can afford is $10 per song. Any input on this is truly appreciated. Thanks |

Search here on DVINFO with the terms "Royalty Free Music" and you will find a number of threads where this same question was asked and answered. $10 per track is not a lot to work with. Try audio jungle.

Re: Backround Music suggestions
Triple Scoop is pretty good and reasonable. I don't think I could get a decent six pack of craft beer with your budget though.
Also keep in mind your usage music copy rights. Check out Perlinger Archives. Sometimes they have something that may even be public domain. Or create your own soundtrack using GarageBand, Band In A Box, loops etc. Or if you have a musician friend..... Jonathan |

Personally I use garage band for music scores that need to be copyright free and it can be quite creative! |

It was meant as a tongue in cheek comment Gary.

Re: Backround Music suggestions
There is quite a bit of music starting at $6-95 (much of it is my own music) at Rocksure Soundz | Royalty Free Music, Sound Effects, Production Music New Zealand. There, perhaps you may find something suitable ?

Re: Backround Music suggestions
I used to think that it would be a good idea to save by going for royalty free music. However, I realised that music is the job of a professional, the way sound recording is a specialist job. I am getting all my music composed specially for me. You spend a bit more. However, if money is an issue, then better to talk with young musicians. There are many talented guys and gals out there. Give them a chance and you will not regret.
