advice about mixer stand alone and pt controller

I need an 8 channel mixer , mostly Have to do some post with protools about dialogues and was wondering if could I use as stand alone mixer with lightpipe adat interface to use with my alesis hd24.

A mixer is not really needed for post.. most use mix automation which is already 'in the box' .
