Portable Wireless mic system?
 

Im looking for a portable wireless mic system that can recieve more than one mic. I have found an AKG system with a portable receiver that can handle different microphones. I asked a person at an audio store about this system and he said that it wouldnt handle more than one mic(lavalier) at once.
Does anyone know of a system that can do what Im looking for.
I need a system thats portable, wireless and that can recieve signals from multiple lavaliers. It doesnt have to receive the signals in seperate channels, just recieve the signals at once. The camera I have is a Sony HDR-FX1 so no xlr audio inputs.

I am an audio dummy and really need some advice on this.

Each mic needs its own transmitter as I'm sure you're already aware, otherwise you might as well just hard-wire them to a mixer and send audio from there to the camera, obviating the need for wireless altogether. The problem is that multiple radio transmitters in the same vicinity must operate of different frequencies. If you try to operate them all on the same channel they'll interfere with each other. Affordable receivers usually only pick up one frequency channel at a time, although there are some that have two channels. So to have multiple mics, each with its own transmitter, you also need multiple receivers, each pair set to its own distinct channel. Now it's possible to feed the output of any number of receivers into an appropriate mixer and mix them down to feed the same audio channel or two if you wish, but I get the feeling you're looking for something other than using a separate transmitter/receiver pair for each mic you want to put on the scene. Lectrosonics (and probably others) has what they call a Venue Receiver that can accept I believe it's 6 or 8 receiver modules and several of them can be daisy-chained to provide more channels than a single set but it's likely to be well out over your budget.
