I also bought some from Amazon (or Ebay). The first pair were covered in pleather but weren't anywhere near as soft and conforming as the originals. The second pair are plush which is btter but still not as soft as the originals.
I note that Canford Audio sells the genuine article fro £16.12 each. See here:

The original ear pads on my 7506s only lasted a few years. Got these as replacements and like them much more than the original, they are soft velour.
