Desktop Monitor Stands?
 

I hope this isn't too silly...

I have new M-Audio monitors sitting on either side of my Mac here, and I'm looking for some stands to get them up to ear level. Any suggestions?

Home theatre and high-end audio dealers have free-standing speaker stands and you can often find them at places like Best Buy or Circuit City as well. Also look into getting some Aurilex Mo-Pad acoustic isolation pads (only about $20 or so) to sit them on and decouple them.

Well, I found some pencil/office tools holders mesh cylinders at Staples that were cheap, look good, and hold the monitors at a convenient height.

Thought you meant you wanted floor-standing stands on either side of your desk. If you're keeping them on your desktop it becomes even more important to set them on some sort of isolation such as the Mo-Pads I mentioned before to prevent them from vibrating the desktop and distorting the sound,

Thanks Steve. The mesh things I got have a foam pad on the bottom, which is right under the speakers since I used them upside down.
