Removing Lav Rustle?

Hi All,

I'm struggling with a problem. I'm using a clip of a young woman speaking and her quote is great, but her rakes across the lav causing unwanted rustle at a point in the clip. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the best way to neutralize, if not remove, this sort of noise? I'm using Soundtrack Pro if anyone has any suggestions.

A good idea would be to find a sound engineer friend to use some nice notch filters on your sound clip. If not, BIAS Sound soap works quite well, try that. There is a more expensive one from the company Waves, they sell a "restoration suite." Those should get you started. A word of caution, do not go and buy the expensive audio restoration plugins rightaway, dime to a dollar they are very advanced that you need a proper educational background to be able to actually understand the interface and controls.
Also Steinberg/Pinnacle Clean does some magic without much user input.

I don't want to be a pessimist, but don't expect too much from this clip even with heavy processing. You may be able to restore it to legability, but it won't sound great.
