16 Bit vs. 24 bit

I shot a 3 camera shoot on HDCam. I think the on board mic (F900) records at 16 bit. My seperate audio was recorded at 24 bit. When I try to sync the mastered audio to the camera audio, will I have sync issues when I try to match the waveforms?

There should be no problem as long as the sample rates of the two match and even if they don't there is software that will convert from one rate to the other. The usual error in this regard is to set the external recorder for CD (44.1 kspS) while the camera records at 48 kspS. The bit depth and sample rate are two entirely separate parameters. Twenty four bit records more subtle differences in sound level than 15 bit and/or extends dynamic range of the recording. It has nothing to do with sync.
