tascam fw 1884

Has anyone had experience with it in real world situations? It seems to support Mackie Universal along with other interfaces.

I've got a Tascam 2488, altho' I've not used it much except for stand alone studio recording. If you've got a specific configuration you're interested in experimenting with, let me know, I'll give it a shot. I've also got a Mackie MCU. Didn't know the two were compatible.

Looking to use it with Vegas, for both recording and mixing. It comes with Cubase LE. Seems like a nice all around unit for multiple tasks. Everything can be programmed too, if your software supports that. Most reviews around the net are positive, with one giving a caveat about plugging in hot connections into the analog inputs and killing them. One guy lost three inputs that way before realizing what was happening.
