Need another Sennheiser SK500 G2
 

I bought a Senn pack with transmitter/receiver, but I want another transmitter to run audio from two transmitters to a single receiver (two people on camera).

Ive looked everywhere and the only places I can find the transmitters for sale are at prices that are almost identical to the Senn packaged products with also the receiver, and mikes and stuff.

Can this be right? Id have to think there'd be a big market for just the extra transmitters.

Whats the best way of picking up another SK500 G2, OR is there a good alternative transmitter out there by itself thats far cheaper and will give the same results?

One transmitter can feed many receivers.
Two transmitters cannot feed the same receiver, unless it's a dual channel receiver. There are a few of them on the market, the most recent of which is the AT1800. One icecube/buttplug, and one bodypack, dual diversity receiver with mixer and single or dual channel monitor.
Azden has a less expensive version that some folks have reported success with.

yikes not good. I had no idea. my assumption was traffic on the same channel would get picked up by the receiver.

i now have no idea how Im going to get audio from two people on camera moving all around a car in different places. Hmm.

Two transmitter/receiver pairs, each operating on its own separate channel if you must go wireless. Be sure to record each mic on its own audio channel as well, do not try to mix them together.

Dumb question but how do you hook up two receivers to a camcorder? I have the single transceiver running into the microphone in.

I was looking to see what camera you had but didn't see anything and for concrete advice that would be helpful. Meantime, basically you need two mic inputs, one for each channel. Some cameras have a pair of XLR inputs that can be switched between mic level or line level. If your camera only has a stereo miniplug mic input, you can make your own "Y" cable that adapts two mono minplugs to one stereo miniplug jack.

Interesting. Y cable would be the $5 solution. Makes sense. Just have no idea where I'd attach the second receiver. The first one is on the hotshoe.

The beachtek thing looks interesting too. however that looks like XLR? The connections out of the Senn receiver look like regular mini microphone plugs.

Forgive me if my questions are silly. I know just enough to be dangerous and thats it.

You should have received 2 cables with your Senn... 1 termintated with a 3 pin XLR male, & 1 with a mini.
