C Stand advice for mounting boompole - Help!
I find myself short a boom operator and am looking for advice on what to get. I assume I need to get a C Stand and boom pole holder along with a Hollywood grip head.
What C Stand do you recommend and is this package missing anything? Avenger C Stand $121.95 A205SCB - Century C Stand with 40" Riser - Black, 10' 9" http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=243712&is=REG Boom Pole Holder $29.95 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=277230&is=REG Matthews Hollywood Grip Head -2.5 inches $29.95 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=139495&is=REG |
You might consider this c-stand package instead, as it includes a complete setup with grip head and arm, making the stand more versatile for general lighting/grip use as well as your sound boom. (you'd not need the additional mathews head if you went this route.)

Also, this is pretty much a setup for a solo interview or actor, as, once the pole is in the holder there isn't a good way to re-aim in the middle of a take. |

Doesn't work. I have the latest version of QuickTime and all I get is the QT logo with a question mark.
