Mic Repair Needed
I recently bought a microphone from a prodution company going out of business and got a deal on a MKH 416 P48. I am not an audio expert, but a friend reccomended the mic to me.
I bought it in not great condition though(why it was such a good price). There seems to be some erosion on the XLR connection on the end of the microphone. I tested it out on my camera and I can get a signal but there seems to be a relatively high amount of hiss on the channel. The mic also isn't very sensitive. Does anyone know of any place (Los Angeles or Chicago/Detroit area) that I could get it fixed up for a decent price? Thanks! -David Frank |
