Hi All,
this is my new little cinema rig: Canon HV10 -> 37-43 step up -> macro set (Raynox DCR-250 -> 49-52 step up -> and +4 asian macro) -> 52-55 step up -> 35mm "Daniel's GG" DOF adapter (VH57X from Daniel's GG-holders http://www.jetsetmodels.info/vibrating.htm) -> 50mm F1.4 Carl Zeiss Jena -> matte box (from ebay) -> Cavision R15B80 rod support and SpiderBrace2 the rig height 2 kg see the demo video1 (720*576 25p pal avi, no cc ) http://files.filefront.com/vibra+50m.../fileinfo.html 82 MB |
..and a 720p .m2t version (with little sharpness)

Robert, your first link is tango uniform. It has the ellipses in it for an abbreviated link and does not work.
|
thanks George
now correct the first demo link |
I looked at the M2T. I love this stuff. Movie DOF on a under 1k camera. Of course all the rest of it is more than the camera... :D
|
|
What is the shimmering that is happening when the person waves his hand in front of the camera? It looks like a stutter of some sort...

hmm..maybe one hi-res picture help.. (?)
|
Why did you put it upside down? Because the lens and adaptor doesn't flip the image back to normal (something normally done in post)? Or am I seeing things?

later i make the ldc flip mod...like this: http://www.hv20.com/showthread.php?t=837 |
Ahhh, I didn't think of the tape change. And it's so simple to just flip the camera over, something you can't do with a DVX, v1 or Canon A1.

You must have a big pocket!

Hi Jon and all,
i tested my 35mm vibration DOF adapter with HV20 in low light HV20 in 25p and cine mode shutter 1/25 720p .m2t sample footage (28MB): http://files.filefront.com/hv20+rig+.../fileinfo.html and some HV20 rig footage : |
Where did you get the Pro Grip? Did you make it?

"pro grip" is a bicycle grip :) |
Hey Robert, is this your video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuc9hmx7sJ8
If so, what camera and adapter was it shot with? I like it very much! |

yes this is my Canon HV10+DIY vibrating (VH57X Daniel's GG-holders) adapter footage http://www.jetsetmodels.info/vibrating.htm 720p screenshots here: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3852 |
Hi Robert,
From your image, it looks like the HV10 is simply "resting" on the cavision rods tripod mounting plate.. is this true? Also, so did you use this instruction for the HV10 as well? http://www.jetsetmodels.info/pics/vh57x_tut.pdf thanks Yang |
Hi there near-namesake!
Your rig is very impressive! How much light (how many stops?) do you lose by shooting through the DOF adapter? How wide can you go with lenses? How quiet is it? Any night-time footage? |
Quote:
i use the HV10 strap for more fixating to the cavision the adapter and the HV10 hardmounted and the adapter fixed to the cavision with the "pipe vice metal ring" yes the tutorial OK |
Quote:
light loss... i dont know... but i use Canon Ee-A focusing screen ..is very bright ! absolute no vignetting with f2.8 or better lenses on the screen |
I wasn't thinking about vignetting - though I'm glad to hear it's not a problem - I wondered if there might be any limitations with wide angle lenses or going wide on a zoom. Maybe my question's a dumb one...
And you must have shot in dark places without the DOF, how does having it on there compare? Is it at all limiting? |
What about sound recording? Since when upside down, the mic is covered up...
|
Quote:
wide angle : i use Sigma 20mm f1.8 and no problem i not compared in the dark but the HV20 more better in lowlight.. maybe later i make some lowlight tes footage.. with my vibrating adapter |
Quote:
enough the sponge half HV10 lenght ..the mic is free not covered ! |
Your english is very good. So good in fact that I didn't take account of the fact that I ought to have been clearer. My bad.
Your low light test - it is hard to tell just how low it is! Any chance of some footage of the world's first electric metro? That would be a good test. (Or maybe you are not in Budapest?) And what are those marks at top left and right? |

but this footage recorded at indoor (some neon lights) with HV20 in cine mode 25p + vibra DOF adapter download this 720p native m2t video file http://files.filefront.com/hv20+rig+.../fileinfo.html |
