Economy mount lock?

Hi,

I have owned the first version of the letus and one of the reasons I wasn't too crazy about it was the fact that the nikon lenses would not lock properly to the letus's mount. I once reported this to the letus support and they told me to tap the mount with a screw driver and a hamer to bend the mount a little bit until it would lock properly. I remember that one of my lenses almost felt on the floor when I was pulling focus. I have also owned an M2 and a brevis and when I screwed the lens into the mount I could always hear that click sound that it makes when the lens is locked tight. The letus has gone a LONG LONG way since that first version and I'm very impressed with it. Since I'll probably be getting a letus economy I'd like to know if this has been dealt with.

cheers,

Rafa

My recollection is that the original mount was a reversable Nikon-Canon mount and it was pretty ordinary. I understand the later Letus35 dedicated Nikon mount may have a releaseable pin lock but you would need to wait for others, Aaron Pin, or Le Bros themselves to confirm.

Bob is correct. The Letus35 Nikon AI mount is a locking mount with a pin and release to hold the lens in. The mount you are referring to sounds like the old swappable mount that did not have any locking mechanism.
