They have a DVD that they will send you with footage using the mini35 and a Canon XL1s. It's a good DVD and has some nice footage...and it's free! As for shorts, etc. do a search here and you can probably find something. Good Luck...

Wonderful examples.

Chris, do you know what camera(s) was utilized, and with which lens(es)? Particularly on Mini_35-Demo, and Projekt_Mini_35.

Nice of you to host these files.

Regards,

David K.

David,

Your question was asked and answered on the following thread: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...threadid=20521

I also have a bunch of links to trailers & demos using the mini35 on my site www.starcentral.ca/mini35.htm and on Adrian Seah's site www.adrianseah.com you can watch 'Last Day At Work' also shot with the mini35. Click on enter, then films to find it.

Thanks for the reply, Dennis.

I wasn't aware those clips were from the DVD. I've followed the discussion of the linked thread, but simply never made the connection between it and the hosted clips.

Also, I saw your Mini35 test back when you first posted about it. Nice work. I also had a look at Adrian's Mini35 film recently, also nice, although Thursday is still my personal favorite :)

Dennis Hingsberg February 22nd, 2004 05:32 PM

Actually yeah, I jumped the gun a little. Not all of them were on the DVD. Kellog Smacks, Ad_Day and Terra Titanic are not on the DVD.

Yes I just finished sending off my film to about 5 festivals and am hopeful they get accepted somewhere - and embarrassed if they don't since now I've mentioned it!

I haven't watched 'Thursday' yet but will try!

Thursday was brillant in my opinion, one of the main reasons I'll be keeping my eyes peeled on Adrian's future work. It beautifully captures one of those rare, awkward, and wonderful moments in life where the unexpected grabs you when you least expect it, and you want it to last forever...

In Soderbergh's Solaris a similar moment occurs between the 2 leads as they ride down an elevator together from the party they've (formally) met at, only to mark the begining of their physical relationship instead (which is also another wonderful moment I love seeing captured on film.)

Well this might sound kind of gross at first, but I'm getting ready to shoot my next short film which captures the uneasiness of using a public restrooms - something we can all relate to.

David Kelvin February 22nd, 2004 06:46 PM

Brillant! I definitely want to see how that turns out.
