Question about motion and GG
I'm trying to take some sample footage using my cat as a subject. I am having trouble with her keeping still for me. When I move toward her, she gets up and walks over to be petted.
I have tried moving between two points, which was good for learning but not useful. I then tried moving toward her in a circular motion. Much better, but not perfect. Has anyone tried an elliptical motion? What were your results? I am using 55mm/F1.2. ;) |
Personally I've been working on the static method. I found a dead racoon near my garbage can and had a taxidermist stuff it. I'm getting good results but I'm having some problems with the stipes towards the tail end. Hopefully, I'll be able to move up to a higher quality cat model soon.

I suggest mounting the cat in black PVC tubing secured with Duct Tape. Either that or get really creative...

Steev..that link is just too funny. I think that just about kills this thread because I don't think anyone can top that.
All I can say is...do you have any framegrabs fromyour bonsaikitten....and is there a way to make the kitten right side up without a prism? (cat's always land on their feet I don't know why this is so hard...maybe we should just drop the kittie adaptor and it will correct itself) |
Looks like Dan's adapter. Kitten must be shaking lot when he hooks up battery. Dan said if you take adapter apart, it will kill you. Now I understand why.
Dan, is that optical glass bottle? Radek |
Guys, I have started a new thread specifically dealing with the current situation:
