My first homemade static adapter.
 

This was my first static adapter i made. its very much based on this adapter:

after seeing the footage. i was inspired

My adapter is made from 2 58mm Asain brand +10 macros from ebay. (actually one i use is from Aroma brand. then there are 2 empty rings that used to be CU lenses. then my 1000 grit ground glasss that was a UV filter from ebay. then another +4 CU lens to act as a condenser(back then, i really didnt understand the whole condeneser, and why it was needed.) i just buitl it like the enormusappartus one. then i made the covering out of 2 pcv, one peice was a coupler and one was the pipe. The coupler fits over 58mm lenses screwed into eachother perfectly. the standard 2" pvc on one end is glued to the 35mm lens cap that has a hole cut out to let the light through.

ive made many short movies with this adapter. The only problem would be dust , and imperections in the GG. I use a Sony DVR-520 Handycam that records on digital8. its pretty fun

Ahh, James Webb's adapter. His was one of the first adapters I'd ever laid eyes on. What's-his-name from that movie that used an actual SLR camera mounted on an L-shaped wooden board was the first time I ever heard of the use of these types of adapters, and James' results was what motivated me to build my own. I feel ashamed but, I must admit, I had never heard of an Agus Casse until a few months into my project.

Your adapter looks solid. That's a whole lot of macro power there though--you might want to consider adding more empty filter rings and taking one macro out if you ever encounter a lot of aberration or distortion.

yah, i realized it was pretty overkill, so i should take one out. i bought 2 when i made it just because James Webb used 2 also. ( i wanted to be like him, haha).so if i take it out, i will probally have to extend the length like you said. thanks. i will do it though, cuz i get way to much lens glare and such with 2 in there. ill try it as soon as i get my camcorder back. thanks for the postive reply!

edit: its interesting that there isnt any distortion though. but it makes for some crazy lens relfectios by having to much glass.
