The camera is "out" kinda - It is built and works and has been demoed - just not up for sale - but if your in japan I bet NHK could work out a rental... if you really really wanted that... and happened to be rich.

I seen this a few months back first in the SMPTE journal and then on daily planet. Its pretty amazing and they were saying it seemed sharper than film and was very esay to come out of focus. To bad the camera is huge and heavy and insanely expensive.

Oh, yea very old story, must be what 3 years old now?
anyhow I wonder how the RED camera compares to that setup, any thoughts?
