DIY Achromat tutorial made from binocular

Hi guys,
after so many people had read my wax-gg tutorial I promised I will post some new tuts here.

Maybe someone needs a cheap achromatic diopter to save some cash for his first 35mm adapter. Then have a look here:

Very easy to build in 2 steps!

Binocular to flip image?

Has anyone considered using half of a set of binoculars to flip their image for their adapter? I don't know if it's possible. It was just a thought...

Are all binocular front lenses achromat? And do I understand correctly that distance between macro/acromat to gg and camcorder lens does not matter?

Chris.

Economically priced binoculars with porroprisms are generally too small to pass a movie-frame sized image without bits and pieces of the optical path getting in the way of the image.
