Just a few questions - do you have more technical specs on the glass? Like, what type of glass (BK7, etc) from which catalog, what are the various radii of the two pieces of glass, is it airspaced or cemented, what's the clear diameter, etc? And am I correct in inferring that it's got a focal length of 125mm?

I'm making some lenses using off-the-shelf components and some optical design software, and I was hoping I could plug your achromat into the computer and see if it works. If it does, I'd take somewhere between 2 and 10.

And do you have limited supplies, or do you do periodic orders? Thanks,

Please email me from the email address on the SGpro's website. The achromat has been custom designed and made for the SGpro and for this application, it is not a catalog/off the shelf item.

Wayne, might that be that it`s possible that the special SGpro achromat is not perfectly usable without the accompanying PCX lens to avoid vignetting from the incompatible frensel or PCX lenses? Just a thought.

Toenis. an achromat is to aid focusing of the camcorder only, and does not effect vignetting. Vignetting is solved by either:

1: A Condenser lens (PCX, fresnel, whatever) but this increases CA and distortions

2: Increase the GG's diffusion, but this looses more light

3: Increase distance between the GG and the camcorder, but this makes the adapter longer.

Can i use your achromat in front of a relay lens on my hd100? I am new to this stuff about 35mm adapters but from what i understand i have to have an achromat to allow me to focus on the GG and to prevent chromatic aberations.
Also can i step up and/or down to the achromat?

What's the possibility to get the piece that holds the Achromat? If I'm not mistaken this is your 50-52mm glass in a 72mm Ring? Are you able to sell just the rings?

unfortunately, the new aluminium rings are actually to house the newest achromat which is 57mm diameter, yours in 51mm diameter.

We now have a final date. The achromat with 72mm threaded black anodised aluminium ring will be ready on the 21st of this month. Price £99

So it's not ready this week? Is that 21st a 100% guaranteed date?
I will need it before April.
