Hello -
We have an Audio Tecnica radio mike. The mike part is ATW-T101 transmitter.
We want to hook it up to two (L and R) RCA female outputs. The transmitter has a kind of hole with five pins in it.
What is that thing called? If I can't name it, I can't ask for the correct adapter!

The transmitter connects to a lav mic which plugs into that 5-pin mini-XLR connection.

Do you mean you want to connect the RECEIVER to a left and right channel at the camera?

Or are you attempting to feed the wireless transmitter with audio from something with stereo RCA jack outputs?

Ken, I want to connect the transmitter to the RCA outs of a mixing board, so that me, my camera, and my receiver can be recording a musical group far away from the board. Does this make sense?

According to Audio-Technica's page (http://www.audio-technica.com/guide/wireless/u100.html) on their 100-series systems, you need a... AT8340 - Input cable connects mics with 3-pin XLRM-type output to ATW-T101(x) body-pack transmitter. 4.3' (1.3 m), XLRF to TA5F connectors.
Looks like they call it a TA5 connector.

Per the on-line manual, shown at http://www.audio-technica.com/prodpro/addinfo/U100Ser_OM.pdf, The ATW-T101(x) body-pack transmitter has an industry standard TB5M input connector with both low- and high- impedance inputs plus a bias connection.

It also appears to support both mic and line level inputs. If using line level output form the mixing board (likely if RCA jacks) you may need to have a special cable made up. Level adjustmetn is covered in the manual.

This is discussed somewhat in the manual, but is not totally obvious to lay-people. If it is not clear, find a local technician to help, and buy his/her favorite beverage as a reward (unless you have to otherwise pay for the support).
