HI,
I mistakingly shot with HDV-SD50P and now im stuck how to capture it in final cut pro.Any help would be amazing at this point.

Hi Mick.

You would still be able to capture the footage with DVHSCap (the same as in my earlier post to you in the Mac forum) as an .m2t file.

When you transcode the .m2t into a Quickime movie using MPEG Streamclip, just set your codec for DV PAL and in the Frame Rate box just enter "25".

This should eliminate every second frame when it transcodes and leave you with 25 fps DV PAL.

Now, if you were also interested in using any of that footage for slow-motion effect (as you have a source 50fps), there is a post by Tim Dashwood that shows you how to do it:
