View Full Version : using flv video in vegas - anyone? Mark Lewis August 6th, 2007, 03:06 PM I haven't tried for a long time, and now I remember why - vegas 6 doesn't seem to allow importing flv media. does anyone have a workaround for this? Thanks Edward Troxel August 6th, 2007, 03:18 PM Sure. Use some other program to convert it to a format Vegas CAN read. Robert Knecht Schmidt December 24th, 2008, 01:10 PM Has anyone developed a rock-solid workflow for converting from FLV while preserving quality as best as possible? I always get errors when trying to reencode to a non-FLV format with SUPER ©, even when the program is able to play the FLV video by hitting the "Play (Active Files | Streams)" button. There's an option to recode in vlc player but i haven't had any success. Paul. Ryan Laytart December 28th, 2008, 12:25 PM I use xilisoft 3gp video convertor 3, mainly for converting vids to my zune. Flv to mp4 or wmv for use in vegas. Ian Stark December 29th, 2008, 04:06 AM There are seemingly hundreds of such conversion apps available and most if not all of those that I have come across have demos or trial periods. Some apps seem to be re-skinned versions of others. There are also some freeware apps available, of which this seems to be the most popular: Free FLV to AVI Converter 1.2 - Convert Flash Video files (FLV, SWF) to AVI or MPEG, YouTube FLV to AVI converter - Jacek Pazera (http://www.pazera-software.com/products/flv-to-avi-converter) |
