Some whites look clipped. You could check levels. Not easy to keep bright whites and clouds within camera range without under-exposing excessively. If clipping didn't occur on the tapes you can still make corrections before rendering out. Nicely shot and produced, I think.

Most of the times I use a graduated ND filter on my Z1, as I did on my PDX10. Even indoors it can be a great help.

In my case I have a matte-box, so it's easy to pull it out if not needed.

For me, a graduated ND is essential for ANY video work, to tame the highlights and stay within range. Unfortunately that is something that film is much better at.

In this case the grad wouldn't help. There is a lot of bright white in the action as well as in the sky. In general the concrete has been kept within range but the T-shirt is often blown out. A darker T-shirt would have been a good idea.

I'm no professional or anything, but below is a few things i noticed just from a layman's view :) so no offense intended.

One thing i noticed was at the steps (00:00:12) - the camera dips for a slight moment before rising - did you mean to do this, or was it a lapse in concentration.

Around 00:00:45 there are a couple of frames that maybe shouldnt be there?
Same for 00:01:13 afterwhich we are sitting behind the guy, hand held - just before it there is an abrupt cut for like a split second (looks like it was left behind in editing), and the few seconds of the dude just sitting there watching the skate park, not sure what i was supposed to be looking at / for in that shot?

Like the follow sequence on the board - gets me right in there almost feeling what he's doing.

The slow motion is quite cool also, can you say a few words on your technique for that?

Did you use a crane of some sort at all (it looks like it - but ive never used one so not 100% sure)

Thought it looked great.

Can you tell us:
1. What kind of crane you used?
2. What kind of steadycam you used for the tracking shots?
