View Full Version : Not sure where to ask: 2D images into 3D panning?

I've seen this quite a few times in PBS documentaries and the History Channel. It's basically your everyday 2D picture but as the camera pans (like a Ken Burns affect), the foreground seems to move independantly from the background.

Does anyone know what software is used to make this? I'd love to do this for my grandmother's 90'th birthday video!

Thanks!

You might give Photoshop and AfterEffects a try.

Hi:

Boris Red 4.1 can probably accomplish the task, as well as the new Motion 3, however, any software program that allows multi-layered key framing (animation) should be able to do it.

Thanks for the quick responses.

I have photoshop 6.0 on my PC. I don't know if it has that or not.

Check out this link from DJTV. It explains how to do what you want, and although they use AE, you could easily do it in Motion.
