I'm having a pretty annoying problem when trying to use time warp and I'm hoping there is a solution.

When I turn down the speed of a clip to a very low number, the clip slows down but it does not extend the actual time duration of the clip. This is cutting off a slow-motion scene abruptly and I can not figure out how to extend the duration.

Any ideas?

Time warp is a nice idea that doesn't really work very well. I've not had your problem, but when I use it to slow a clip (50% to 33%) after a cross dissolve, the 15 frames or so runs backwards. As such I've given up using it.

You might try time remapping instead.

hello,

i've tried time remapping...very precise and i can do alla what i want and i also found a nice tutorial.
but the treatment of immagine is less accurate that time warp where each frame preseves more quality.

ciao!
