Hi,

I love how FCP does multi-cam editing. Additionally, I am looking forward to getting the latest version that can do multi-format (hdv, dv...)/multi-cam editing.

So, this is a question for all/only the PC users out there:

What application do you prefer/use when it comes to multi-cam/multi-format editing?

Thanks in advance! This site looks great!

Cheers,
M

I use Vegas with Excalibur for multicam.

Since I am an adobe user, Premiere CS3 here! :-)

Adobe is good. But, imho, it is a bit cumbersome with HDV. I'd say wait a few days for Vegas 8 demo to go online, download it and see if you like it.

Hey all! thanks for the replies!

Sorry to not respond sooner... For some reason I did not get a subscription email (probably cause I forgot to subscribe to this thread!!! Noob mistake.)

Anyway, thanks for all the tips. :)

I am checking out all options now. I prefer Adobe too, but also use Vegas 7.

My buddy and I shoot with SD and HD formats, so it would be great to have the multi-format ability too... My buddy, a Mac user, uses Final Cut Pro, but his version does not support multi-cam edits with the different formats (although, I hear that the latest version does.)

Anyway, thanks again for tips!!! I greatly appreciate the help. ;)

Cheers,
Micky
