Hi,

I hope that it is not very wrong place to post the issue.
I am going to update my workstation and I have been looking around for an affordable pro graphics accelerator. AMD has recently launched a new ATI 2007 generation that supports OpenGL 2.1, shader mode 4.0 and DirectX 10. There are two cards in the group that have got my attention. The first is FireGL V5600 and the second is V7600. Both cards have 512mb graphics memory, I do not need more and I do not want less at the moment. However, V5600 has 128 bit and V7600 has 256 bit. The price difference is ca 265 EUR for favor of V5600. Has anyone any experiences with those new cards or with FireGL generally. How much will 256 bit increase the render speed over 128 bit if the graphics memory size is same 512mb. I left out Nvidia Quadro from my shopping list as the price is too high. However, while FireGL works perfectly with Autodesk, Adobe states that they have some issues with FireGL drivers. Could anyone share experiences on that field?

Cheers,
Margus
