I'm currently editing a wedding and I was always curious how to make the movement seem smoother with the still images. I've watched shows on TV, documentaries where the picture starts off really smooth like a dolly move VS. this quick sudden jerk go and stop at the end move. I know there are a lot of you out there who agree and I've played around with the bezier handles, but you can't adjust them with the center and anchor point. Are there any plug-in's or is motion the best program to do this type of feature in?
Thanks for your input!

Presumably, you've tried "easy ease" (control-click on the key-frame for the sub-menu)? That's the easiest way.

I did try that and the beginning motion seems to be pretty smooth, but when it comes to the end, it's similar to a car at a red light, not a yellow. The beginning I'm fine with as I'm transitioning from another still, but it's really the end I want to try and find a way to slow down the movement instead of BAM, here we are.

Josh, it sounds like you only have the "easy ease" set for the start of the move. Check you have one at the end as well. You can also adjust the speed of acceleration and deceleration.

FCP's "ease in/out" is a bit freakish - usually making pictures jump wildly once you try and "adjust" them.
Try Lyric's Pan Zoom Pro plug-in (http://www.lyric.com/fcp-plugins/panzoompro/pzp.htm) - there is a demo version.

Thanks for sending that link. $49 isn't bad, but I definitely want to try the demo first. From the rendered movie, it looks perfect!
Have a good one.
