Rick - do you have actual shoot dates or locations yet? How long a shoot will it be (days? weekends?)?

The shooting schedule isn't set in stone yet, but it will definitely be on the weekends. The restaurant that I have a permit to shoot in will be done from 5am-7am before it actually opens to the public. All of the other scenes take place early as well so I think most of the shooting days will be wrapped up by noon.

The other scenes take place in apartments, a car, and a dirt lot.

The movie is only about 15min. long so there isn't a whole lot of production involved.

Just a question for job searching reference.What would a person look up as a proper search Title, when looking for a video editing job?What do they call a person who does non-linear editing out in the proffessional world?Would it be under Broadcasting or Graphic artist or what would you search for when looking for a job?What would you call yourself if you were riting a resume?

Include me in your head count, though I may not make the first one. Crossing the river is fine, especially if we're timing it for right after work. I find that if I go home first I never get back downtown or to VA.

I have a two day project coming up at the end of May where I need a second cameraman to shoot DVX-100 footage, mostly tripod based. I have all equipment, I just need a second cameraman who has experience with a DVX-100.

I also want to shoot some wedding footage for you for FREE!

I want to do some test shooting using my DVX-100 at a wedding. Up to this point, all of my weddings have been shot in 30i and I want to gain some experience shooting weddings in 24pa and 30p. If anyone has a wedding in metro Atlanta coming up soon where I could come and take some "practice" shots, please let me know. Been away from this forum for sometime now. Been busy finishing principal photography on a short. But glad I checked in, and to learn about all these people in the area and the efforts you guys are making to get a group thing going on. I'm definitely down for the meetings and rather get togethers. I'm currently in post on one project and pre on the next one, but I'm sure I'll learn and most importantly have fun meeting up with you guys.

Also, there are a bunch of talented filmmakers in this area that I've been working with, I'm sure they'll be interested in meeting other like minds, and I'll pass the word to to them.

I am looking for a makeup artist. The lead character, in a feature I am shooting this summer, through out the course of the movie has to go bald, get all sickly and have teeth fall out.

I have been in talks with a prospective new corporate client (R.E. developer) in LA, where I may need some extra camera ops with gear for multi camera interviews. Im looking for people with XL1s only and prefer the 16x manual lens, as I would like all cameras to match up as best as possible.

In addition the audio and lighting options you have and tripod. I may also be looking for a few broll shoots of structures & architecture in the LA Area and may also need someone with "steadicam" experience/gear.

Still, she's pretty bright, and if you want, I could ask her if she thinks she could handle this type of job. I know she's worked for free before, but we've always paid her. Great attitude. A joy to have on the set. Hey, if you need any helping hands on your shoot let me know. I'm in Albany, and we're nearly wrapped on our latest project. We're unlikely to start shooting again on a new project before the fall.

I'd like someone to take a job I can't. I know it's short notice and I apologize for that, but they gave me short notice as well. The reason I can't is I already have another commitment in Chicago that day.

The job is videotaping an ethnic fashion show on the afternoon of Saturday, June 12, in Washington, D.C.

It will involve two cameras, one stationary and the other taking a variety of shots. The event will likely run about 60 minutes, but may take up to 120. Both cameras should be of the 3-chip variety.

Will the job pay enough for travel?

I've moved your thread and changed the title to better indicate
what you are looking for.

Keith, this job will cover travel but there won't be that much left after that if you're coming from Florida, or in my case Chicago.

The pay will be $350 for the two camera, two hour shoot. This is more likely a job for a D.C./MD/VA shooter, but I'd be thrilled if you decided to do it. I was willing to go and pay my travel expenses out of that fee because I am a past-president of the group that produces the fashion show. I suppose anyone else traveling from far to do the job would do it for the sake of novelty. The show features Pakistani clothes, both modern and traditional.

I am going to edit the show, and I'm doing that on a spec basis.

I can do that. I have an XL1 and access to another that we can use for the lockdown. Where is the show? What time is it? Can you cover expenses also? (just tapes, not travel).

Let me know, I am definitely interested, especially if I can have permission to use the footage for my reel also...

Barry, that's excellent. The fashion show is scheduled tentatively between noon and 4 p.m. By now they should have finalized the exact timing. I will call the folks organizing the event to find that out. It will be a two-hour show at the most. I'll address the reel question later today because right now I have to take off. The answer to that is yes with conditions.
