Rendered a MPEG2 to burn onto DVD. After burning it a few months went by I deleted the raw files off the computer, and of course now a change is needed in the DVD. What's the best way to handle it? I still have the original MPEG2 file saved.

IF you still have the PROJECT on the computer the nsimply reload the tapes and when you open up the project it'll all be there. IF you don't have the project (veg file) there then perhaps you might still have the BAK file and after reloading the tapes can change the extension to VEG and reopen from that.

BTW you CAN edit the MPG footage but would be the last option as MPEG doesn't like to be edited-you might however try to change the extension to AVI and see what happens as far as editing goes.

I too will delete RAW footage after some time after all HDD space is still finite but I hang onto the VEG fils until they turn blue in the face-as you found out, you never know when you might need it.

Good luck,
Don
