Hello, it's been a long time since I have been any of the boards. The reasons are not good though. Almost seven months ago I found my father in a coma on the garage floor from the results of a brain aneurysm. I stopped all film work and my dad became my full priority. Then when things were getting just a little better my Mother died three days before my 34th birthday. My dad did not return home for sixth months and we are still working hard with him. So this is been a pretty (%^*%(% year for me. But, I decided to post and see what's been going on around here . Anyway hello to you all!

I have a temp web site until my PappasArts.com site goes up. Right now it's parked.

But my temp site is: http://www.pbase.com/arrfilms

It contains reviews, some of my photography and art sketches.

Hope everything is been good on the boards. Chris's site gets bigger everyday.

Glad to have talk to you again but I'm saddened to hear about your parents - that must be a heavy load.

I agree, Chris has done a fantastic job with these forums. I dropped off several other DV sites/lists and just hangout here. Here, things are well moderated, mostly flame free, great navigation and UI, good list of topics and most importantly, a nice mix of people.

wow... you got some amazing shots on your site, as bad as your past year has been hopefully you will find a positve way to bring that emotion into your art.

Thanks for sharing your life and your work with us, I am new here but can tell you are definatly an asset to this community.

Welcome back, Michael. There are many here who remember your contributions to the Watchdog and to discussions on video art and technology on a variety of forums as the best discussions migrated from usenet to places like DVInfo.net. Very sorry to hear about your parents--but we're glad to have you back.
