I have a 720x480 project in Premiere with 1.2 PAR, but the program I`m making the graphics with doesn`t have a PAR option, just dimensions. So if in all technicality the 1.2 was converted to square pixel dimensions what would it be? 760X400 or something?

If using square pixels then the size should be in either the 4:3 or 16:9 proportion depending on the format. So for a 4:3 image if you want the height to be 480 pixels then the width would be: 4 / 3 X 480 = 640, resulting in a 640x480 image.

For 16:9 the math is the same; if you want the result to be 480 pixels high then you get 16 / 9 x 480 = 854 (rounding up since you can't have a fractional pixel :-) This would give you a 854x480 image.

If you want a different height image you can just plug it into the formula in place of the 480 above.

woah...i didn't know the math was so simple. Thanks so much!

*EDIT*

hmm still a little 'short' on either side, but at least i have a guideline now, thanks
